What If You Actually Want More?

What do you actually want?

I'm not talking about what sounds sensible or what you think you should want. And I'm not talking about the answer that makes you sound grateful, grounded and perfectly reasonable.

What do you really want?

In this episode of Impossible to Ignore, I’m talking about desire, ambition and why so many of us make the things we want conditional on achieving something first.

This whole conversation started with a bottle of champagne.

My husband offered to buy me one and I told him we should wait until I signed my first publishing client. About thirty seconds later, I found myself thinking… why am I making the champagne conditional?

So I put three bottles in the trolley.

Because how often do we do this?

I’ll celebrate when…

I’ll call myself successful when…

I’ll write the book when…

I’ll put myself out there when…

I’ll let myself have the thing when I’ve earned it.

In this episode, I’m exploring our complicated relationship with wanting more, why we sometimes make our ambitions smaller to protect ourselves, and the idea I can’t stop thinking about:

Maybe desire is information.

Maybe those ideas, dreams and possibilities that keep coming back aren’t something we should automatically explain away.

Maybe we should pay attention to them.

We’re talking intuition, ambition, success, trusting yourself and what “more” actually means when you stop letting everybody else define it for you.

And I’ll leave you with the question I’m asking myself:

What do you want, if you stop trying to make the answer sound sensible?

Write the book you can’t stop thinking about

If one of those things you can’t ignore is the book you know you’re meant to write, I work privately with a small number of authors to take their idea from manuscript to a beautifully published book.

My publishing experiences are high-touch, personal and designed for experts, entrepreneurs and people with something meaningful to say.

AI Can Make It Faster. But It Can’t Give You This.

A conversation I had with an author today stopped me in my tracks.

She told me she wasn't looking for the biggest publishing company. She wanted something more boutique. More personal. She wanted to know the person she was working with was genuinely invested in her book, her ideas and what she was trying to build.

And it got me thinking about AI, speed and where I believe premium businesses are heading next.

Because AI can help us create faster than ever. Content. Websites. Ideas. Books. Strategies. Systems.

And I absolutely believe there's a place for it.

But when everyone has access to speed, speed stops being the thing that sets you apart.

Experience does.

In this episode, I'm talking about why I believe boutique, high-touch businesses could become even more valuable as AI becomes part of everyday life, and why the businesses that make people feel known, understood and genuinely supported will have an enormous opportunity.

I talk about the difference between convenience and experience, why boutique doesn't mean small, and the question I think every expert, entrepreneur and service provider should be asking:

If AI could make 70% of what I do faster or cheaper tomorrow, why would somebody still choose me?

Because your value isn't simply in what you produce.

It's in your judgement, your ideas, your experience, your standards, your relationships and the way people feel when they work with you.

And that is incredibly difficult to automate.

Want to publish your book with Impossible to Ignore?

I'm currently looking for the first ten Founding Authors to publish with Impossible to Ignore.

This is a deliberately boutique, high-touch publishing experience for experts, entrepreneurs, consultants, coaches, service providers and experienced professionals who want to turn what they know into a book that builds their reputation and supports the business they're building.

You'll work closely with me, one-to-one, with a handpicked team around us and someone genuinely in your corner who cares about the success of your book, your reputation and your business.

If you've been thinking about writing your thought leadership book, or you've already started and you're ready to finally bring it into the world, you can apply to become one of our first Founding Authors using the link below.

Maybe ‘one day’ is now

Well... this wasn't on my 2026 plan.

I've just launched a publishing company.

Publishing has actually been part of my bigger vision for Impossible to Ignore for a while, but it was firmly sitting in the "one day" category. I thought it would happen next year, maybe even the year after.

Then circumstances changed very unexpectedly, an opportunity opened up and suddenly I found myself asking: why not now?

In this episode, I'm sharing what's happened over the last few days, why I've decided to launch Impossible to Ignore Publishing now, and why this feels like such a natural next chapter for me.

I'm also talking about my own experiences of both self-publishing and working with a publisher, what I've learned from each, and what I want to do differently.

Because I don't want to build a publishing machine.

I want to build something boutique.

Personal. High-touch. Considered.

I want to work with entrepreneurs, experts, consultants, coaches, service providers and experienced professionals who have something to say. People with years of expertise, ideas, stories, frameworks and wisdom inside them who are ready to turn that body of work into a book.

And I want publishing that book to feel special.

We'll also talk about why I believe a book can become one of the most powerful assets in your reputation portfolio, and how it can create opportunities far beyond book sales, from speaking and media to clients, credibility and becoming known for your ideas.

Most of all, this episode is about those strange moments in life when something you've been saying you'll do "one day" suddenly becomes possible now.

Sometimes the plan changes because you're ready for it.

Become a Founding Author

I'm currently looking for the first ten Founding Authors of Impossible to Ignore Publishing.

These first ten books will help set the standard for the publishing house I'm building, so I'm being incredibly intentional about the authors and ideas I choose to work with.

If you have a book inside you and you're looking for a boutique, high-touch publishing experience with someone genuinely in your corner, I'd love to hear about it.

Your Reputation Is Talking. What’s It Saying?

Your Reputation Is Talking. What’s It Saying?

What happens when someone hears your name for the first time and Googles you?

Do they immediately understand who you are, what you're brilliant at and why they should trust you?

Or does what they find represent a version of you that you've already outgrown?

In this episode of Impossible to Ignore, I'm talking about something I've become a little bit obsessed with lately: reputation.

I recorded this one at 5.30am on a Monday morning, sitting in bed with a cup of tea, because I woke up thinking about the gap that exists for so many brilliant people between how good they actually are and what the outside world can see.

We tend to assume we need more visibility.

More followers. More content. More Instagram. More LinkedIn.

But sometimes you don't have a visibility problem.

You have an evidence problem.

In this episode, I share my own journey of building a reputation without initially realising that's what I was doing. From writing my books and becoming a bestselling author, to media, speaking, podcasting, awards, websites, brand photography and everything else I've built around my name.

Individually, they're all great things to have.

Together, they tell a story.

That's what I now call your Reputation Portfolio™.

I'm also sharing why writing Confident As Fck changed the way I think about books. A book isn't simply something you sell on Amazon. For an expert, founder or entrepreneur, it can become one of the most valuable authority assets attached to your name.

And I'm taking you behind the scenes of what I'm building next with Impossible to Ignore, including KNOWN, Impossible to Ignore Authors, and the boutique 1:1 work I'm now doing with entrepreneurs and experts who want to intentionally build their reputation.

Because I'm not interested in building a huge machine.

I don't want hundreds of clients moving through the same process.

I work closely with just 2 to 3 private clients each month because I want to know the people I work with. I want to understand your story, your business, your expertise, where you're going and what you want your name to become known for.

Then we can work out what needs to exist around you to help make that happen.

Your positioning. Your personal brand. Your website. Your book. Your visibility. Your authority assets. Your Reputation Portfolio.

It's personal, strategic and deliberately boutique.

In this episode

We talk about why being brilliant at what you do and being known for being brilliant at it are two very different things, why your reputation exists whether you're intentionally building it or not, and why social media is only one part of the picture.

I also explore why premium pricing needs visible evidence, how books, websites, media, podcasts, speaking, awards, photography and client results work together to build authority, and why one reputation asset on its own isn't a reputation strategy.

Most importantly, I want you to Google yourself after listening.

Look at what you find as though you've never met yourself before.

And ask:

If somebody discovered me for the first time today, would they see who I've been, or would they understand who I'm becoming?

And if there's a gap, I'd genuinely love to hear about it.

Message me and tell me:

“Rachael, I Googled myself and this is what I realised…”

Or even better, tell me what you wish you'd found.

KNOWN

KNOWN is our intimate two-day brand and reputation experience in Scotland for entrepreneurs, founders, coaches, authors and experts who are ready to become recognised for their work and trusted for their expertise.

Together, we'll work on your positioning, what you want to become known for, your Reputation Portfolio™, visibility strategy, brand direction and 12-month roadmap. You'll also be professionally photographed by international branding photographer Jennifer McLuckie, leaving with elevated imagery designed around the person and reputation you're becoming.

Discover KNOWN and request an invitation

WANT TO WRITE YOUR BOOK?

I'm also opening the doors to Impossible to Ignore Authors, my boutique publishing experience for experts, founders, entrepreneurs, coaches and consultants who want their book to do far more than simply sit on Amazon.

We start with what your book needs to achieve, your core message, positioning, signature thinking and how the book fits into your wider business and reputation. Depending on how you work with me, we can then take that through editorial development, professional publishing, launch and visibility strategy.

I only work with a very small number of authors because I want this to remain personal. I want to know you, understand your book and understand what you want it to make possible.

I have 2 publishing spaces available for October for people who are serious about getting their book into the world and want to work towards being published within the next six months.

Why I’m Building Impossible to Ignore

What does it actually take to become known for what you do?

In this episode, I’m taking you behind the scenes of what I’m building with Impossible to Ignore, why my business and messaging have been evolving, and the realisation that has completely changed the way I think about personal branding.

Because being brilliant at what you do isn't always enough.

People need to know you're brilliant at it.

I'm talking about the difference between simply being visible and intentionally building a reputation. One that means your name is associated with something, your expertise is recognised, and the right opportunities, clients and conversations start finding their way to you.

I also introduce the idea of your Reputation Portfolio, the body of evidence that exists beyond your social media following. Your website, media, books, speaking, podcast appearances, awards, collaborations, client results, photography and everything else that helps establish what you know and why people should pay attention.

I'm also sharing a little more about KNOWN, the new in-person branding experience I'm creating in Scotland with branding photographer Jennifer McLuckie, and why we're bringing positioning, messaging, reputation and brand photography together in one room.

And there’s another change coming to the podcast.

I want to start talking to founders, entrepreneurs, authors, creatives, coaches, consultants and experts who are building something worth knowing about.

So if you're building something that is making you impossible to ignore, I want to hear your story.

In this episode:

• Why Impossible to Ignore is evolving

• Why being good at what you do isn't enough

• The difference between visibility and reputation

• What I mean by a Reputation Portfolio

• Why follower numbers aren't the same as authority

• Why your brand may no longer reflect the person you've become

• The relationship between confidence, visibility, authority and income

• What Jennifer and I are creating with KNOWN

• Why I'm opening the podcast to guest conversations

• The question I think every founder and expert should ask themselves: What do I actually want to be known for?

Want to be part of Impossible to Ignore?

If you're building something interesting, have become known for your expertise, reinvented yourself, created a distinctive brand or have a story about what it really took to get people to pay attention to your work, I'd love to hear from you.

And if you'd like to hear more about KNOWN, our intimate branding experience in Scotland, keep listening. I'll be sharing much more behind the scenes as we build it.

Next episode: Google yourself. What does your digital reputation say about you before you've even entered the room?

The Skill That Made Me £10K a Month Was Hiding in Plain Sight

What if the skill that could make you serious money isn't something you need to learn, but something you already have?

For 16 years, I was a single mum, self-employed and responsible for making enough money to put food on the table, keep a roof over our heads and keep my daughter in private school.

There was no guaranteed salary arriving at the end of the month. I had to learn how to be resourceful, spot opportunities, learn quickly and, most importantly, turn what I knew into something commercially valuable.

That mindset eventually led me into property investing.

I learned. I implemented. I built a property portfolio worth around £1 million using investment finance. Then I realised something else.

I could teach what I'd learned.

That became an income stream that, at one point, generated around £10,000 a month.

But looking back, property wasn't actually my £10k skill.

And that's what this episode is really about.

I'm sharing why your most valuable skill might be hiding in plain sight, why so many experienced women dramatically underestimate what they know, and how to start looking at your career, business and life experience through a completely different lens.

Because you're not starting again.

You're starting from experience.

And your experience should be making you money.

🎧 In this episode:

• What 16 years as a single mum taught me about making money

• How I went from learning property investing to building a £1m portfolio

• How that experience became a £10k-a-month income stream

• Why "property" wasn't actually my most valuable skill

• The difference between what you DO and the skill underneath it

• Why the things that feel easy to you may be commercially valuable

• The questions I'd ask to start uncovering your own £10k skill

Want to find YOUR £10k skill?

I've created What's Your £10k Skill? to help you uncover the commercially valuable skills already sitting inside your experience and identify what could become your next income stream.

Because you probably don't need another qualification or another business idea.

You need to see the value in what you already know.
